Reported by Genius Beauty, experts from the CHEM Trust, a British NGO, which works to protect the public and the environment from hazardous chemicals, it is believed that the substance may be partly responsible for the obesity crisis and rising levels of diabetes cases in developed countries.
According to the Review of the Science Linking Chemical exposures to the Human Risk of Obesity and Diabetes, a chemical that enters the food chain and are stored in the body. And then causes fat deposition, changes in appetite and reduction of metabolic processes.
The authors are two academics from the University of North Carolina and North Korean National University. The document also notes that the baby is still in the womb of pregnant women at risk and more specific.
