A new study reveals that teenagers who drink alcohol too often be at risk of developing breast cancer.
Reported by Fox News, the American Cancer Society says that women who drink 2-5 alcoholic drinks a day had 1.5 times the risk of cancer compared to women who did not.
Scientists from the United States conducted a study involving ore than 29 thousand women, found that every 10 milligrams of alcohol consumed per day, may increase the risk of 15% for the development of cell-cell and non-cancerous lesions, called tumor proliferation or benign breast cancer.
"It's clear this study suggests that alcohol may increase the risk of early changes in the phase of breast tumors are benign," said Dr. Graham Colditz, professor of the Siteman Cancer Center of Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
