Here's a list of 10 largest earthquakes in Indonesia, which occurred from Papua to Aceh :

2009 earthquake in Papua has the power Ricther 7.6 on the scale. Earthquake on January 4, 2009 that has killed four people and injuring dozens of people.
2. The earthquake in Sumatra in 2009 a magnitude 7.6 Richter
2009 West Sumatra earthquake occurred on 30 September 2009. This earthquake occurred off the coast of Sumatra, about 50 km northwest of Padang. The earthquake caused severe damage in some areas in West Sumatra as Pariaman District, the city of Padang, the South Coast District, Pariaman City, Bukittinggi City, City of Padangpanjang, Agam regency, Solok City, and West Pasaman. According to data Satkorlak PB, approximately 1117 people died in this earthquake.
3. Java earthquake magnitude 7.7 in 2006
July 2006 Java earthquake is an earthquake measuring 7.7 on the Richter scale BMKG version off the coast of West Java, Indonesia. Occurred on July 17, 2006. This earthquake caused a tsunami as high as 2 meters which destroyed a house on the south coast of Java, killing at least 659 people.
4. Bengkulu earthquake measuring 7.9 Richter scale in 2007
Bengkulu Earthquake Mw 4.8 in 2007 to have the strength or magnitude 9.7, occurred on September 12, 2007. The epicenter is located about 10 km under the ground, about 105 km off the coast of Sumatra, about 600 km from the capital Jakarta.

1797 Sumatra earthquake is the first in a series of large earthquakes that rupture of the Sumatra segment of the Sunda megathrust. This causes a very destructive tsunami near the Padang, where a 150-200 ton British ship pushed up to 1 km inland river Arau.

This causes the tsunami disaster which caused several thousand deaths. Quake was felt as far east part of peninsular Malaysia and Java.

1938 Banda Sea earthquake occurred in the Banda Sea region on February 1, 1938, and is the largest earthquake in the 9th-20th century. The strength of this earthquake is 8.5 on the Richter Scale, and caused a tsunami as high as 1.5 meters, but no casualties.
8. The 2005 Sumatra earthquake measuring 8.7 magnitude
2005 Sumatra earthquake occurred on March 28, 2005. Seismic center is located at 30 km below the surface of the Indian Ocean. Vibrations felt to Bangkok, Thailand, about 1,000 km jauhnya.Dengan strength of 8.7 magnitude, this earthquake is the second largest earthquake in the world since 1964.

1833 Sumatra earthquake occurred on 25 November 1833, around 22:00 local time, with a magnitude estimated in the range of SR = 8.8 to 9.2. This causes huge tsunami that flooded the southwestern coast of the island. There are no reliable records  casualties, with the victim who is described simply as 'a lot'.

On 26 December 2004, a massive earthquake in the Indian Ocean, off the west coast of Aceh. The quake measuring 9.3 on the Richter scale according to this and with the biggest earthquake within the last 40 years that hit Aceh. 230,000 people died in eight countries. Tsunami waves as high as 30 meters. This disaster is the biggest killers in history. Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, and Thailand is also a country with the largest number of deaths.
